This full-year course provides students with an in-depth study of healthcare careers including actual clinical experience in a variety of areas. Instruction includes intermediate anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, diseases and disorders, medical ethics and first aid. The class is designed to prepare 11-12 grade students for Advanced Health Science courses and/or for a variety of health technology programs.

Supplies - Each student should have a binder that leaves space for each of the units that are described below. They should also keep a set of at least 20 colored pencils for the class.
Resources - Each unit will have practice quizzes that can be used to prepare and study for the exams. Keep all your notes and assignments and STUDY hard for the exam. HOSA - Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is our student organization. All students enrolled in Medical Anatomy and Physiology are encouraged to join local, state and national HOSA organizations. This looks great on your resume and will offer you many exciting experiences throughout the year, including leadership conferences, state and national competition, and social events with other chapters. Get geared up for an exciting year. Each year we take a number of students to national competitions in over 25 health related contests.
