Body Systems Project

This unit is going to be completed in a different way. You will be completing a project in which groups of 2-4 students (depending on class size) will work together to research and teach about a body system. This unit is focused on learning body systems while comparing these systems in different organisms. If you only talk about humans in this project you are not completing the assignment correctly. Everything you need to know about this project is listed below!

What must be turned In:

A note sheet on your system (each person needs one)
A power point/google slides presentation

Group grading sheet - You will grade each other on your participation.
Notes on each groups presentation
Honors students - A 5 paragraph essay (Discussed Below)

Total Points will be discussed by the teacher.

Presentation Must Include:

What body system uses your topic
Cover your topic in a different organisms (Plant, Vertibrate, Invertibrate, etc..)
All major structures + Brief Discussion of the function.
How the system interacts or connects to other systems
How the system maintains homeostasis
Pictures to show the anatomy (usually that means at least one picture per slide)
At least three fun facts
+
The things talked about below for your groups individual system

5 Paragraph Essay Requirements:

The purpose of this paper is to compair two organisms in terms of your assigned body system. Your paper must include the following:
Introduction Paragraph
Body Paragraph 1 - First point of comparison
Body Paragraph 2 - Second point of comparison
Body Paragraph 3 - Third point of comparison
Conclusion Paragraph
